Multi-Objective Energy Management Strategy Based on PSO Optimization for Power-Split Hybrid Electric Vehicles

The hybrid electric vehicle is equipped with an internal combustion engine and motor as the driving source, which can solve problems of short range slow charging vehicle. Making effective energy management control strategy reasonably distribute output power motor, improve efficiency, reduce battery damage. To consumption excessive discharge at same time, a multi-objective based on particle swarm optimization algorithm proposed. First, simulation platform was built compound power-split model. Then, ECMS (Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy) used to realize real-time model, penalty function added modify objective current SOC (State Charge) maintain balance. Finally, key parameters were optimized by using algorithm, effectiveness verified under WLTC (Worldwide Light-Duty Test Cycle) NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). results show that test cycle, overall fuel whole 6.88 L/100 km, 7.7% lower than before optimization; 5.88 9.8% optimization.
